Hair designer Jon Michael has made hair fashion his lifelong pursuit. From the runways of Paris to the salons of New York, Jon Michael has studied and perfected contemporary hairstyles for over twenty-five years. Entrepreneur, artist and visionary, Jon Michael practices hair design in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Jon Michael has studied at some of the most prestigious salons worldwide, including:

• L’Oréal Institute in Paris
• Kyoshi Ishawatari Studio in Tokyo
• Clairol Institute - New York.

Since 2002, Jon Michael was selected to join the Haute Coiffure Française, an elite Parisian league of exceptional hairstylists from around the world. One of only a few hair designers from America to belong to the Haute Coiffure Française, Jon Michael travels to Paris
twice a year to observe design trend-setting styles for the organization’s biannual fashion event.

When practicing in the salon, Jon Michael brings the latest in hair design to his exclusive clientele. He lends his technical mastery to a generous repertoire ranging from the stunningly avant-garde to the traditional. Jon Michael believes a client’s hair is an extension of self.
He strives to understand each client’s desires and translate them into the effective, confident styles they require.

Over the years, Jon Michael became increasingly frustrated with the poor consistency and quality of hair care products available through the commercial market. He determined that many of the products commercially available did not adequately address the specific needs
of the numerous types of hair he encountered every day.

To compliment his hair design, Jon Michael created his JonMichael line of original hair care products. Shampoos, conditioners, hairsprays, styling and finishing products combine molecular chemistry and a master stylist’s deep understanding of hair.
